What areas do you currently serve?

Most areas of Brooklyn and Manhattan and parts of Queens (certain areas have higher minimum). Other areas service:

Jersey: Hoboken & Jersey City. Minimum order of $175 plus $15 per trip

Westchester: South of I287. Minimum order $300 plus $99 per  trip 

Connecticut: Greenwich, Riverside, Stamford. Minimum order $300 plus $115 per trip. 

Please note we do not collect sales tax for order delivered to CT and NJ.

Are you a moving company?

No, we're not a moving company. We rent plastic moving crates and other moving supplies as an alternative to buying new or used cardboard boxes. We deliver our reusable crates and other moving supplies to your current location and pick them up from your new location when you're done. We inspect, clean and sanitize each rental equipment before and after each use.

How quickly can I get boxes delivered to my place?

We strongly recommend placing your order at least one to two weeks before you want to start packing. We'll deliver them a few days before you want to start packing and pick them up when you're done. If you just found out about our service and need to order last minute, please go to our contact page and drop us an urgent note. Alternatively, just call us at 855-968-2698. There's no charge for expedited delivery but it is highly subject to our availability. 

I am using movers. Do you recommend I order dollies?

If you're living area is spacious, you're moving from/to railroad apartment with long hallways, we recommend having wheels (dollies or hand trucks)  It's easier on your back and greatly expedite the packing and unpacking process. You want to set aside an area to put all your packed crates, preferably close to your front door. That way you don't have crates scattered everywhere and your movers can pick up the bins fast. Dollies allow you to move empty and packed crates around without lifting. Still not convinced? Watch our video

What if I have a minor delay in my moving schedule?

Don't worry as this happens quite often. Just email us to reschedule your delivery date. If you arrive at your new place and have a delay in unpacking, let us know when you'll be ready for a pickup. You can extend your rental period for up to two additional weeks at weekly discounted rates listed below. If you need to reschedule or extend your rentals, you must do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled window to avoid $25 late notice rescheduling fee. The more notice the better.

What are your delivery and pick-up charges?

For primary service areas, street level delivery and pick up are free on orders $99 or more (if an order is less, a $20 service fee will be added). If you have street level elevators and would like in-home delivery or pickup via elevator, this service is $19 for delivery and $19 for pickup. If you would like in-unit delivery or pickup in a walk-up building, the fees per delivery or pickup are as follows:

Mini Move - 15 boxes - $25

Studio - 25 boxes - $29

1 Bedroom - 35 boxes - $29

2 Bedrooms - 50 boxes - $35

3 Bedroom - 70 boxes - $39

What is your cancellation policy?

We seek to provide exceptional customer service. If your moving plans have changed and you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before your delivery time. A charge of $25 may be assessed if you do not give 24 hour prior notice to reschedule or cancel a delivery or pick-up. If you are not satisfied with our product and/or services, you have 24 hours after you received your supplies to request a full refund. 

What if I damage or lose a rental item?

Damages to our products are extremely unlikely since they are built to last through many uses. If a rental item was damaged (because, say, your mover ran a truck over it), or it was stolen, you will be charged the full cost of our products.

How are the rentals cleaned?

We vacuum, sanitize and inspect our crates, wardrobe boxes, glass and dish dividers, dollies and hand trucks before delivering them to you. In addition, these rental products undergo our deep steam cleaning, non-toxic cleaning every quarter. Garment Bags and Linen Stuff Sacks are laundered with Seventh Generation or Method detergent after each use.

If you are not satisfied with our product and/or services, you have 24 hours after you have received your supplies to request a full refund.

 

How many moving bins do I need?

The number of bins (aka crates) on our packages are based on the average for NYC apartments (studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms etc). In our experience, it's a good guideline. Upgrade to the next package if you think you're a pack rat or there are more people living in your apartment than it was designed for (e.g, 3 people living in 2 bedroom apt, order the 3 bedroom package). We think it's a good idea to have a few cardboard boxes as backup.

What are your delivery and pick-up windows?

3 hours, sometimes further narrowed to 2 hours. Our order form requires that you select 2 large windows for delivery and pick-up. Those windows are for scheduling purpose. After we receive your order, we will send you an email with your delivery and pick-up appointments. We will do our best to schedule you within your preferred windows. 

 

 

 

Do I need to tip the delivery and pick up team?

Tipping is appreciated but not required. If you wish to tip, suggested amount is $10-$15 per delivery and pickup. 

 

 

 

Can I retroactively apply promo code on my order?

Sorry, promo code must be applied when you place your order. 

Can I order more boxes after my delivery?

If you need more supplies after your delivery, you would have to place another order. Minimum order is $99 for primary service areas (certain zip codes have higher minimum). If you're not sure, order more than you think you need. Most people underestimate how much stuff they really have.
